As a high performance organisation, World Rugby needed a solution that would achieve greater organisational efficiency across 3 key areas: Human Resources; Finance and Payroll; and Administrative Processes.

The client required a solution with a simplified user experience that could operate across various business lines, reducing the need for separate systems that at the time, were not integrated or communicating with each other.

The Challenge

De Montfort University are a well established and acclaimed higher education institution, with an annual income of over £180m and over 20,000 students. They recognised needed to be smarter about how they managed their workforce in order to retain a competitive edge in the Higher Education sector.

DMU needed a solution that enabled them to manage their employees at all levels, from Deans to Part-time cleaners to unpaid interns. Organisational management was one of their greatest priorities, ensuring there was a clear and appropriate reporting line for varying HR transactions and scenarios. Along with a full payroll and finance system, DMU's solution needed to cover every facet of each staff members employment.

We recommended and implemented a full SAP system that enabled both managers and employees to manage their personal details, expenses, time-sheets, holiday time and development within their own portal. With full integration with a state-of-the-art payroll system, DMU's solution ensures:

What was once a very complex IT landscape was simplified by consolidating multiple applications and functions into one platform.

The Result

Our solution dramatically increased the efficiency of finance and payroll processes, with automated invoicing and payroll reporting systems among the many systems we implemented.

By replacing complex systems and isolated applications we made DMU's IT systems more agile, more user friendly and efficient.

Each member of staff now has access to their own personalised portal where all data is updated in real-time. This includes a clear organisational structure detailing their team and their respective roles; time management applications that allow employees across all areas to quickly capture time spent on projects, with automated posting to budgeting and reporting centres; and development applications that allow employees to pursue their career and personal development aspirations.
